Dr. Laura Standridge, D.C., BCN-L
Specialized Neurodevelopmental Consultant & Board-Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner
Laura Standridge, D.C., BCN-L, is a Doctor of Chiropractic specializing in functional neurology, neurofeedback, and developmental neuroscience. With over two decades of experience spanning clinical care, professional education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, she provides expert guidance to families, clinicians, and educators navigating complex learning, developmental, and brain-based challenges.

Dr. Standridge’s professional trajectory was profoundly shaped by personal experience. After watching her son struggle with severe learning differences—including apraxia, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia—she sought answers beyond conventional models. A qEEG brain map revealed distinct patterns of neurological underdevelopment, and the implementation of targeted neurofeedback protocols yielded transformative improvements. This profound personal turning point became the catalyst for expanding and re-shaping her professional focus toward neurodevelopmental optimization.

To establish her clinical foundations long before integrating neurofeedback, Dr. Standridge initiated an enduring pursuit of post-doctoral education in chiropractic functional neurology. Early in her career, she spent more than a decade in a rigorous clinical mentorship with the president of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, co-managing complex cases and mastering sophisticated methods of neurological assessment and recovery. This formative decade laid the groundwork for her comprehensive approach to neurodevelopment—initiating a continuous, lifelong dedication to advanced study and clinical application that she continues to actively pursue today.

As her practice evolved, Dr. Standridge integrated advanced technical modalities to support her clinical insights. She pursued formal neurofeedback training through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), achieving board certification in 2018. Seeking to bridge the gap between brain-mapping and physical intervention, she trained in the Melillo Method, blending developmental functional neurology with neurofeedback and multisensory approaches. Furthering her toolkit for struggling learners, she also completed professional certification in Interactive Metronome®—a modality she had already utilized successfully as a parent for over five years.

Dr. Standridge refined her skills during advanced clinical training in high-volume neurofeedback and developmental neurology practices in New York, serving a diverse patient base from across the United States and abroad. Her clinical experience spans autism spectrum presentations, ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, PTSD, brain injury, and complex neurodevelopmental profiles. In 2018, she established her independent neurofeedback practice in northern New Jersey, providing specialized care to both local and remote families.

Today, Dr. Standridge’s work transcends traditional clinic models to focus on high-level integration, strategy, and advocacy. As a specialized neurodevelopmental consultant, she helps clients decode complex diagnostic data, identify missing gaps in care, and strategically sequence interventions for meaningful developmental outcomes. Her virtual and hybrid consulting practice supports families worldwide through comprehensive neurodevelopmental planning, remote neurofeedback supervision, and evidence-based neurotiming® therapies, including low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and Interactive Metronome®.
Driven by a belief that the future of healthcare relies on interdisciplinary synergy, Dr. Standridge actively champions collaborative care. She is the founder of a non-profit charity dedicated to supporting families facing severe learning challenges, and she serves as an international clinical educator.

Dr. Standridge earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her extensive post-doctoral training while practicing across the New York metropolitan area. Rooted in an early appreciation for movement, nutrition, and resilient living, she brings an unmatched dual perspective to her work: the rigorous expertise of an advanced clinician and the deep, lived empathy of a mother who has navigated the intricacies of a complex genetic and neurodevelopmental landscape. Having engineered a comprehensive, integrated approach for her own child whose profile stood entirely outside the standard cohort, Dr. Standridge remains deeply committed to helping modern families navigate complex developmental challenges with clarity, clinical precision, and evidence-informed strategy.
